I tried my best to avoid the movie starring Reese Witherspoon because I was afraid it was going to blow the book for me and boy was I right. This is the story of a wild woman who decides to go on a journey of a thousand miles on the pacific crest trail on her own. This book truly got me hooked on every line as the heroine revealed more details about who she is with every life changing step she took towards the unknown. 11. THE ROSIE PROJECTThe lead character in this novel might just be one of my favourite fictional characters ever. The protagonist is a quirky professor of genetics who never manages to do the right thing even though that’s all he wants to do. Hence why, he decides that he needs to find himself a wife. So, he tries to do that the best way he knows: through scientific research methods, surveys and academic interviews to filter out the chosen specimen. Rosie has no chance at first but as their friendship begins to blossom, Don figures out that sometimes you don’t have to look for love because in most cases, loves finds you.
